Shipping Policy

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we will start our fulfillment process. All orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Transit times vary from 2-7 business days. Estimated delivery within 3-9 business days.

Order Shipment:

We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.  If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at support@shopgunsafes.com.

Shipping Options

Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)

Packages weighing less than 150 pounds are shipped free of charge from ShopGunSafes. These shipments are handled by UPS or FedEx and are delivered directly to your front door at your home or business during regular business hours. No advance appointment or signature is required.

Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)

Packages weighing 151 pounds or more are delivered on pallets to your curbside. Curbside delivery is a free service offered by ShopGunSafes. These shipments are handled by trusted freight carriers such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or similar providers. Please note that "curbside" delivery is defined as where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment within an 8-hour time frame, ensuring you’re prepared to receive your order.

Please Note The Follow Special Circumstances May Require Additional Shipping Fees For Packages Weighing Over 150 lbs.

  • Freight companies will not deliver to "dead end" streets or cul-de-sacs. 
  • Remote areas may incur additional fees charged by the freight company. 
  • Deliveries to "limited access" locations may also require extra fees. Some examples include restaurants, retirement homes, daycare facilities and hotels.

FedEx Freight Direct Basic Delivery (151 to 2000 lbs.) Additional Cost: $75. This service uses trusted FedEx-branded shipping to handle items weighing between 151 and 2000 pounds. Deliveries are made to the ground level, either to the front or back door or directly into the garage. Smaller trucks are used to access locations closer to homes or businesses.

Customers benefit from flexible 2-hour delivery windows available in the morning or evening, along with comprehensive order tracking via web or smartphone apps. Regular notifications, including updates on scheduling, delivery day, and a 30-minute arrival notice, ensure seamless communication.

This service is required for customers living in areas like dead-end streets, cul-de-sacs, remote locations, or places with limited access. It's tailored to meet the unique challenges of such deliveries, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience

Once Your Order is Processed 

You will receive an email with your tracking number based on the indicated lead time. After shipping, and once your item reaches the local freight terminal, the freight company will call to arrange your delivery date. Delivery appointments are scheduled exclusively for the day of delivery.

Freight deliveries occur Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Some terminals may avoid residential deliveries on Mondays due to high commercial delivery volumes.

Upon Delivery - Mandatory Inspection

***EXTREMELY IMPORTANT***

Inspect packaging before signing: When the truck driver presents the delivery receipt, inspect all packaging for scuffs, scrapes, or tears. Failure to note even minor damage on the receipt will relieve the freight company of any responsibility and prevent you from filing any freight damage claims. So even if there is only minor damage write "DAMAGE TO PACKAGE" for any observed scuffs, abrasions, or indents directly on the delivery receipt. This is the only way we can file a damage claim for a refund from the freight company or arrange a replacement if the product is damaged during transit.

  • Minor damage handling: Small nicks, scratches, or scuffs are common during delivery. While these do not impact functionality and touch-up paint is available, they must still be noted on the delivery receipt.

  • Request to inspect the product: Ask the driver if the packaging can be removed to inspect the product for damage. Drivers may refuse at their discretion. If allowed, thoroughly check the product.

  • Assigning responsibility: If someone else is receiving the delivery, ensure they are aware of these inspection procedures. Provide them with printed instructions.

  • Refusing major damage: If the product has severe damage (e.g., dents or creases affecting integrity), refuse the shipment, note the damage on the delivery receipt, and contact ShopGunSafes immediately at support@shopgunsafes.com

  • No inspection, no claim: If you sign the receipt without noting damage, freight claims cannot be filed. Contact the carrier directly if this occurs.

  • Damage claim timeline: Most freight carriers allow 45 hours post-delivery to file claims. Contact ShopGunSafes immediately at 307-429-2391 or support@shopgunsafes.com to initiate the process. Provide the signed delivery receipt with damage notes and photos, if possible.

  • Handling multiple products: If multiple items are delivered, accept undamaged products and refuse only the damaged ones. Record the number of units refused on the delivery receipt.

  • Concealed damage: If damage is discovered after signing, report it within 24 hours. Failure to do so will make ShopGunSafes and the carrier not liable for repairs or replacements.

  • Keep packaging: Retain all original packaging until inspection is complete or until advised to dispose of it. This is essential for filing damage claims or if further inspection is needed.
